Lately I have been obsessed with vintage inspired invitations. I have been on the search for a unique embellishment to add to the Tres Beau Collection, and while browsing through my favorite couture bridal gown collections, I noticed a theme throughout my top picks- silk and organza flowers. There is just something so hopelessly romantic about them!

Once I decided to add these hand-made wonders to my embellishment collection (and ultimately one of my invitation suites), I began researching suppliers. I happened to stumble across a gorgeous bunch of organza flowers and it was love at first sight. I was delightfully surprised to find that the image came with a DIY guide! I immediately embarked on my very first flower creation. All it took was some scrap material (luckily I had saved the alteration scraps from my own wedding gown), a candle (to singe/curl the edges) and a needle and thread to sew it together. It took a little time and patience, but I am definitely happy with the end result (not to mention I got to play with fire). I might be a little overzealous in thinking that I will have time to hand craft one for every invitation suite (so anywhere from 50-150 in a single order), but I am certainly going to give it a shot!
